SYNOPSIS
Ohasámava Hapykuere (traces of the past)
It inquires about rethinking the body and the footprint we leave in this world. Trying to provoke an approach to the reason of our existence. This work arises from the research and experimentation I did in Asuncion, Paraguay where I smeared my body with wet red earth several times. Observe how when the material dried on the skin, it cracked, generating tightness and even some pain that mimics scarring. It generated like an extra layer of skin that protected me from everything around me. In this search to find new sensations I understood that the action of generating traces using my body as a stamp on different surfaces resembles the photographic universe. Since the different traces that I generate become an analogical and/or handmade record of the actions that I carry out, leaving in evidence the physical and emotional transformation that the body undergoes with the passing of time.
