SYNOPSIS
3 GARLIC SLICES
The video action proposes a mapping of bodies, interweaving of beings, revealing what is not named, shedding light on what is hidden. Liminal metaphor of the struggle to be. Tours that open up multiple senses and sensations. An audio, which relates the preparation of a native stew: our food. Mixed with stories of women from another era who taught us to compost ourselves from dominations and conquests. Earthworms feed on organic matter, helping microorganisms to decompose. They make the nutrients in the soil more assimilable for plants, shrubs, trees in pastures, hills, forests, jungles, even in the forgotten pot at home. Plants are the basis of human life, for the oxygen, food and medicine they provide us, but they make use of others who live imperceptibly. To compost would be one of the many paths that exist, to recognize what is anchored in our history, decomposed, to become and be again. Starting a new cycle of our own. Understand that we also feed on our history and memory. If we discard from our waste: artificial, plastic, chemical, would organic waste become food for ourselves? Could we compost in a bin what the worms need? How many worms would we need for a container, on a balcony, in a city? How many millions of earthworms would help heal the earth? How many questions to our own stories do we need to be? We propose a genuine encounter where the skins are fed back into balance with nature. Leaving traces that bind us together.
