BARTOLOMÉ FERRANDO

Native of Valencia. Performer and visual poet. He studied music and Hispanic philology. He has been professor of performance and media art at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia.

He has coordinated international performance festivals at the IVAM (Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno), at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, also in Murcia and Castellón. Founder of Texto Poético magazine. As a performer he participates in Festivals and Meetings held in Europe, Canada, USA, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, China, Israel, Argentina, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Chile.

He exhibits his visual and concrete poetry in various cities of the State, in Italy and in France. He was part of the groups Flatus Vocis Trio, Taller de Música Mundana, Rojo, and now Bregues de Moixos, Dosentredos, Trio poesía de acción, Daidoo, SIC and JOP dedicated to the development of creative practices located halfway between music, poetry and action art. LUIS BRAVO

Poet, essayist, researcher, university professor. He was born in Montevideo in 1957 where he studied and graduated from the Instituto de Profesores Artigas as a professor of literature. In the early 1980s, together with other young poets, he formed “Grupo Uno”, a group that aligned the most avant-garde of local poetry, through performances influenced by the counterculture of the 70s and Brazilian concretism.

Around 1985, at the end of the civil-military dictatorship in Uruguay, he organized the Poetry Festival, where the most youthful manifestations of the country were exhibited. On that occasion he gave his first public performance at the Anglo Theater.

In 1990 he obtained a scholarship to study in Spain, where he lived for several months. By that time he had already published several collections of poems. In the 2000s she began to work at the Instituto de Profesores Artigas and at the University of Montevideo, as a teacher of Universal and Ibero-American Literature.

He was invited to international poetry festivals and participated in radio programs and in the written press. He has won several scholarships for research works that cover diverse authors, periods and styles.

In 1993 and 2006 he co-managed the International Poetry Festival in Uruguay.

He has been a literary critic since 1980 in several national media: Brecha -he was co-editor of the books of that weekly magazine between 1995-98-, Cuadernos de Marcha, Graffiti, El País Cultural, La República, Hermes Criollo, among others.

His poems have been published in anthologies and international magazines and have been translated into Portuguese, French, English, Swedish, German, Estonian and Farsi. His articles have been published in collective books and specialized magazines in Spain, Portugal, Canada, United States, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. He has published poetry in books and plaquettes, and in audiovisual formats: cassettes, CDrom, CD, Dvd, cyber-poems and Streaming by virtue of the intermediality of his poetic art.
